Coach's Licensing Rules -  Update 8/3/23
 
To receive an IWSL Coach pass there are 2 mandatory requirements.  1). You must complete the Kidsafe requirements of the Safe Sport Training that you can access on the IYSA website.  2). You must complete the Grassroots training as listed below through the In Person course.

Coaches with a valid IWSL Coach pass for a current season team will be allowed to coach any team in the same club during the season.

Grassroots Course for Competitive Coaches

The following Grassroots course is the replacement for the E License, which is no longer offered All current E License holders will not need to take this course. Please see below the new competitive course steps for coaches wanting to coach competitively.
Grassroots Course for Competitive Clubs:

1. Create a coaching profile in the US Soccer Digital Coaching Center(DCC) (Free)

2. Complete the US Soccer Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module (Free -20 minutes)

3. Complete one 2 Hour Online Course – either 4v4 or 7v7 or 9v9 or 11v11 course

($25 per course payable to US Soccer - F License suffices until Online Courses become available from US Soccer)

4. Attend one 4-hour In-Person Course – either 4v4 or 7v7 or 9v9 course ($125 per course)

To submit a coach for team/roster registration who will be attending an IYSA coach class in the near future, in their coach file online enter "PEND" for License, 00-0000 for license number, and 04/01/20 for license date.  We will issue and hold the pass pending a copy of the coach license when received.  The copy should be mailed to IWSL, PO Box 808, West Dundee 60118 along with a self addressed return envelope.  Do not fax copies to us.
